First Day Back

First Day Back

Finally I made it back. After 2 months of fretting, I am now where exactly I want to be. It was a much extended vacation, and as happy as I am at home, it still didn’t feel right; maybe because my other half was here or maybe because I am what they call an Anglophile.

Anyway, I came back to a better place than where I left at first so there are no complains here. I just count myself lucky, after all. On my first day back to work, the Olympic torch also landed on the main land from Greece and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee is just around the corner. Oh yes, my timing is perfect. (As I’ve said lucky isn’t it?)

So with all this going around, my workplace decided to show their support by sending off balloons. How it become so escapes me, but I reckon it must be the colors that they used. Red. Blue. White.

So for an anglophile (I just love this word...teehee) like me, it’s a great way to be welcomed back. Even if it’s just, according to me.

Unfortunately I don’t have a decent camera at the moment so just forgive the quality of the pictures.

In three…

Two…

The card attached to each balloon is a written note and a number for whoever will find it to call to, so that how far the balloon goes will be known.

One!

And there they go along with all that I’ve been through.

 Up,

Up,

and Away.

It was a gloomy and windy day but just exactly how everybody wanted it to be.

Again, lucky!

My Middle of Nowhere

My Middle of Nowhere

There is no place I wanted to go to so badly while I’m in vacation other than The Ruins.  When I left Negros 3 years ago this place was unheard of (or maybe it was, and I just haven’t).  For some reason my vacation didn’t feel complete until I came to this place.

Nothing fancy. Nothing much to do. Or see. Just a very old mansion standing in the middle of nowhere in all its aged and muted beauty.

Our very own “Taj Mahal”.

Old but grand.

Thank you Kim and Riza for a jampacked day. =)
