Sweet Things

Sweet Things

I have a sweet tooth that I like to take care of. I can have chocolate for breakfast and be in bliss the whole day. For as much as I love to have a healthy body so is my affection to anything sweet. So in the last few months, I have been discovering sweet stuff that I was, at first, grateful to have found. However, tempting as they look some are better than others.

 1. Peanut Hottie

When I found this on a shelf it felt like epiphany. What could be more amazing than a peanut butter that you can drink? I was so sure that this would replace any chocolate drink in my life, BUT, it failed. As much as I want to like this, I find it too bland and didn't even get the peanut butter taste. Boo!

2. Pringles

Now this one is more of an eye candy. Who would miss this passing by? No one. Unfortunately, this is one sweet thing I wished I did. Completely missed the mark for me.

3. Little's Swiss Chocolate Instant Coffee

Finally a treasured find. Having both chocolate and coffee at once is like waking up on a Christmas morning. It is comfort in a cup. Satisfies both your caffeine fix and chocolate cravings. What could be better?

 4. Lindt Lindor (Caramel, Cookies and Cream, Coffee, Strawberry and Cream)

Well this one is no brainer. Its Chocolate, check. Truffles at that, check. Great for munching anytime, check. Different flavors, check. Great looking, check. Can't get enough of it, check.

5. Peanut Butter Oreo

By far my favourite on this list. A match made in heaven. I thank the stars of the genius behind this for they  must be aligned when he thought of this. Twist, lick, dunk perfection. No more globs of PB on your oreo's for now, this is the real thing.

I fell in love with Cambridge

I fell in love with Cambridge

That all sums it up. I couldn't say it any better. I love everything about Cambridge. How it vibrates, comes alive, looks, feels, works, tastes, history everything. I even went as far as asking Reg if we could move there (to which of course he said no). For as much as I love London, Cambridge is just everything I dream and wish for. A breathing history.

So for our May bank holiday we went for a spontaneous day out and without any plan we decided to go to Cambridge. Not knowing what to expect (except maybe to see a big building called "Cambridge University" or something..), the place sure did surprise us. Me to be precise. It was more than what I would have expected. And it blew me away.

The Mathematical Bridge, apparently the beams are arranged to  support each other to keep it up. Beams not bolts.

 Wisteria is everywhere.

Ground norms.

 The Market Square

Shows what rules in the place.

During autumn these ivy leaves turns red, and they say the view is beyond compare. I can only imagine.

 The River Cam.

 Corpus Clock

 Probably my favourite building.

Punting and the Bridge of Sigh

Somewhere beyond this building is the corridor where Newton first studied the speed of sound.

 I.would.love.to.do.this.

Since the trip was just for a day there were plenty more that I wanted to do. So, when I come back I'll visit Newton's Apple tree, Sir David Attenborough famous favourite garden, the inside of Kings College chapel, the library where the original Winnie the Pooh manuscripts are kept, where Sam Mendes studied, and so on and forth. The list goes on.. and so is my love for Cambridge.
