My dad used to say that the reason UK would not join euro is because they won't give up pound or the lose the face of royalty on their currency. I was young then and it was enough for me to understand.



But now, after reading a papers report I think it's true. That the reason they will not join euro is because they know that UK is not the leading economy in the euro zone , that in itself is enough to make them refuse. They are too proud to take the backseat. Pound and autonomy makes them, well, unique and separate.

And maybe with what's happening right now, it seems like a good thing.
